Penzance: Things to Do, Jubilee Pool & More
At the end of the main railway line, Penzance is the gateway to the far west, from St Michael's Mount and Mousehole to Land's End and the Isles of Scilly. It has a famous seaside lido and a lovely seafront.
Top things to do in Penzance
- Swim at the Jubilee Pool, a 1930s Art Deco sea-water lido. Part of it is now geothermally heated, so you can swim in warm water all year. Book online in busy periods.
- Walk the promenade west to Newlyn, one of Britain's biggest fishing ports, which has an art gallery and harbourside cafés.
- Explore Chapel Street, the old heart of town, with historic pubs and independent shops.
